“CLIPS OF WYOMING COUNTY” VIDEO CONTEST SELECTS WINNERS

The Wyoming County Chamber & Tourism in partnership with the Wyoming County Board of Supervisors and Cornell Cooperative Extension, was very pleased to unveil the winners of the “Clips of Wyoming County” video contest at the Board of Supervisors regular meeting on Tuesday, June 9, 2015.

The contest, which ran from June 1, 2014 to April 24, 2015, invited young people from Wyoming County to create a promotional video and be entered to win one of three prizes. The theme of the contest was “Wyoming County, a great place to live, work, and play.” Contestants were able to win one of three prizes and then have a donation made in the same amount to their favorite organization.

1st Place: $250.00: Shaylene Balon, Allison Russell & Hannah Stockschlaeder (Attica, NY), with $250.00 being awarded to WNY Girl Scout Troop #92022.

2nd Place: $150.00 to Olivia Karasiewicz (Pike, NY) with $150 to the Letchworth Fine Arts Bureau

3rd Place: $100.00 to the Spicer Family (Middlebury, NY) with $100 to the Wyoming County 4H Program.

“We were thrilled to partner with the Board of Supervisors and Cornell Cooperative Extension on this outstanding project,” said Meghan Nulty, Vice President, Tourism and Marketing. “This was an exciting promotion that provided a fun learning opportunity for our youth, and a creative addition to our overall tourism and marketing plan.”
