Entrepreneurs at heart, Nick and Denise Macaluso have taken on another venture as new owners of Warsaw Dry Cleaners and the Wyoming County Chamber of Commerce was on hand to celebrate with a Chamber Ribbon Cutting Ceremony.
In June 2006, Nick and Denise began apprenticing with Bud and Norma Crist, owners of the Warsaw Dry Cleaners for 38 years, to see if this business was truly something they were interested in running as well as to learn the ins and outs of the business and the dry cleaning process. They quickly realized that they enjoyed the work and were looking forward to running Warsaw Dry Cleaners. Warsaw Dry Cleaners officially opened under the new ownership of the Macalusos on November 20, 2006. Warsaw Dry Cleaners is a multi-service business offering rug rental, area rug cleaning, wedding gown preservation, alterations, mending, and zippers, as well as tuxedo rental through the Tuxedo Junction on premise in addition to the dry cleaning and laundered shirt service.
“Nick and I are very excited about this new venture and want to thank our employees Nancy Durfee and Milt Bauer for their help and support above and beyond. You have been wonderful. We couldn’t have done this without you,” stated Denise Macaluso. She continued, “We want to thank our girls, Monica, Olivia, and Alyssa for their love and support. Monica has been working and learning right along with us and shows a real interest in the business. Monica has even changed her college major to Business. Adam Bush has been working with us too and has been a great help. Thank you to the Crist’s for this opportunity and having the confidence in us. We hope to be doing business in Wyoming County for a long time. Last, but not least, a big thank you to our customers for their loyalty and positive feedback. We will be continuing our specials and strive to give you the best service possible.”
“It is inspiring to see entrepreneurial drive like that of the Macalusos,” stated Chamber Executive Director Jim Pierce. “Nick, Denise and their kids are all involved in their business ventures and recognize that hard work and great customer service are keys to being successful. We applaud their efforts and wish them well with their dry cleaning business.”
